Industry Background
Many families in Mumbai own farmland in the Konkan region and dream of building a weekend home there. However, constructing a traditional house on farmland can be challenging. Transporting materials, finding skilled labour, managing construction and dealing with heavy monsoon rains can make the process long and difficult.
Hayajami's Solution
We came up with a plan to manufacture two 30x10 ft prefab modules at our Mumbai facility and join them at the project site.
Each module covered 300 sq ft. Once joined, they created a spacious 600 sq ft, 2BHK container home.
Unlike standard 8 ft-wide containers, the 10 ft-wide modules provided more room for comfortable living.
We completed the project in approximately four months, from design to final handover.
